Shimen Mountain, located on the west side of Shimen Reservoir, is one of Taiwan's 100 Small Mountains, with an altitude of 551 meters. Climbing to the top of the 100 Small Mountains, you can have a panoramic view of the green mountains and clear waters of Shimen Reservoir.

I chose to enter the northern end of the Shimenshan Trail from the entrance archway of Minzhi Road. The front section was a primitive dirt road. The slope along the way is gentle. Walk slowly in the woods at a leisurely pace and listen to the dialogue of nature and the symphony concert.

If you just want to take it easy, just skip the Haohanpo section and go to the Holiday Market after climbing! Many vendors gathered to sell trekking poles, snacks, mountain products, and fruits and vegetables. In fact, mountain climbing can be so casual!
