A quiet place where Japanese architecture and history intersect [Taoyuan Martyrs' Shrine and Shrine Cultural Park]⛩️

Taoyuan Martyrs' Shrine and Shrine Cultural Park is like entering a well-preserved Japanese historical corner. Originally built in 1937, Taoyuan Shrine enshrines the three pioneer gods and is an important spiritual symbol of Taoyuan during the Japanese colonial period. After the restoration, it was changed to the Martyrs' Shrine. It is currently well-renovated and well-preserved, and has become a space that integrates historical memory and cultural education.

The park retains the elements of traditional Japanese shrines, from the large torii, stone lanterns, the bridge, the worship hall to the main hall, and craftsmanship can be seen everywhere. There is also an exhibition hall and multilingual guide signs behind the shrine, allowing visitors to understand Taiwan's modern religious architecture and historical changes. Visiting in the afternoon, the sun shines obliquely between the shrine and the tiled eaves, which is particularly quiet and charming.
