Xuchang Chunqiu Building (Guanzhai), also known as the Confucian Temple Scenic Area, is located in Xuchang City. It is a group of ancient buildings in the Ming and Qing styles, a key cultural relics protection unit in Henan Province, and a national AAA-level tourist attraction. It was built in the first year of Kaicheng in Tang Wenzong (836 AD) and covers an area of more than 20,000 square meters.
Chunqiu Building is located in the central area of Xuchang City, next to the ancient city of Cao Wei, with convenient transportation.
The scenic area is not large, but the buildings are still kept as original as possible. The existing Chunqiu Building ancient architectural group was built in the Yuan Dynasty and the first year of the Yuan Dynasty. The scenic area also retains many precious inscriptions, among which the 'Chasing Feng Longxi County Bo Li Bin Stele' by Zhao Mengfu, a great calligrapher of the Yuan Dynasty, is the treasure of the museum.
If you have nowhere to go on nearby holidays, you can choose to come and visit. Pay a visit to Guan Gong. After all, there are not many people even on May 1st.
It takes only 1 hour to drive from Zhengzhou to Xuchang. There are also some small ancient towns around Xuchang that you can visit, such as Shedian Ancient Town and Shenhong Ancient Town. They are all very well-preserved ancient buildings and are worth it.
