Ikenotaira Hotel to reopen in April!

Shirakaba Resort Ikenotaira Hotel reopened on April 22nd after a complete renovation.

Located on the shores of Lake Shirakaba in Nagano Prefecture, the hotel offers spectacular views from the rooms, the large public bath, the restaurant, and many other places in the hotel.

Even though there were many guests in the hotel, for some reason I never saw anyone in the large public bath. Maybe the key is to avoid peak meal times? It was so comfortable!

We especially recommend the lakeside mixed bath Sora in the large public bath.

The only open-air bath here is infinity.
And the observation sauna where you can have the spectacular view all to yourself.

It was absolutely amazing! It would be a shame to steer away because of the word "mixed bath"!

Meals are buffet style, and there is also a rental yukata.
Everything was beautiful and it was a pleasant stay.
