Tengchong Mayu Valley - Angsana Hotel + Longxia Creek Budu + Hot Springs

Mayu Valley Angsana, the environment is impeccable, the vacation atmosphere is fully immersive, and the pace instantly slows down. The rooms are not luxurious but clean and comfortable, with outdoor private hot springs. It is said that Mayu Valley has natural hot springs, making soaking very pleasant and conducive to good sleep. The downside might be a shortage of staff or insufficient training. Even before the National Day holiday when it wasn’t too crowded, the service was still lacking. There was no park map provided and no guidance at all. Questions went unanswered, and when the young lady drove the electric cart to pick people up, the front desk was left unattended. However, it was clear the staff were trying their best, so it might be a management issue? Breakfast was not very abundant, and there weren’t enough seats. The distance to Heshun and the city center is considerable, but perhaps because of this, there is an added sense of tranquility.

The Longxia Creek and rice fields in the town are probably the most beautiful parts of the entire park. The popular Budu Tea House is right here. Gaode Map navigation to Longxia Creek Natural Museum Base leads to a small parking lot, and stairs on both sides go down to the area below, which feels like entering another world, a paradise worth visiting.

Angsana Hot Spring Village provides tickets for hotel guests, but non-guests can also buy tickets separately. We went on a night before National Day when there were very few people, and the experience was excellent. More than 20 pools were open, feeling like being in a small forest, with many pools above 40 degrees Celsius. Highly recommended.

About one kilometer from Mayu Valley, there is a restaurant called Ziyuan Farmhouse, highly recommended. The dishes are fresh and stir-fried over a wood fire. The owner offers free daily handmade noodles, oil mushrooms, and fermented bean curd, all exceptional. We went twice in three days, solving the problem of dining far from the city.

Overall, staying at Mayu Valley is quite comfortable. It is said that the real estate here is the pinnacle of Tengchong tourism properties. If you don’t mind the service, staying a few days here is a good choice.
