2 Days 1 Night Exploring Tengchong

📍Day 1: Volcano Hot Sea + Overnight Stay at a Hot Spring Guesthouse

🚄 Transportation Tips:
Take a high-speed train or flight from Kunming/Dali/Lijiang to Baoshan/Mangshi, then transfer to a bus to Tengchong (choose the bus if on a budget, about 80 RMB);
Taxi fare from Tengchong city to the scenic spots is around 30 RMB one way, carpooling is recommended for better value.

🌋 Morning: Tengchong Volcano Park (Entrance fee 50 RMB)
Visit one of the 97 dormant volcanoes, you can take a hot air balloon to overlook the earth fissures (extra 80 RMB), an incredibly thrilling experience! Wear sneakers, it takes about half an hour to hike to the crater at the top.

♨️ Afternoon: Hot Sea Big Boiling Pot (Entrance fee 55 RMB)
The smell of sulfur is strong, boiling eggs in the 60°C geothermal hot spring is super fun (2 RMB each). Highly recommend trying the natural geothermal foot bath (15 RMB/person), soak your feet while watching the steam rise, so relaxing you might fall asleep!

🏨 Accommodation: Hot Spring Guesthouse near Heshun Ancient Town (about 280 RMB/room including breakfast)
Choose a small courtyard with a private hot spring, soak in the hot spring at night while stargazing, all the day’s fatigue will disappear! Remember to book in advance, prices rise quickly during holidays.

🍽️ Dinner: Local restaurants outside the ancient town
Recommended: "Tengchong Renjia" and "Old Dian Flavor," order a clay pot dish (60 RMB), Da Jiu Jia (30 RMB), and rice bean jelly (10 RMB), split among four people, less than 50 RMB per person!

📍Day 2: Heshun Ancient Town + Return Trip

🌅 Morning: Heshun Ancient Town (Free entry, small scenic spots ticket 55 RMB optional)
China’s most beautiful overseas Chinese hometown, 600 years of history, bluestone roads, small bridges and flowing water, every photo looks cinematic. Must-visit spots: old library site, laundry pavilion, Shuanghong Bridge. Don’t forget to buy a rose jam popsicle (10 RMB), so pleasant to eat while strolling!

📸 Hidden Experience:
At 7 AM, the ancient town is empty with no cars, the light and shadow are stunning, photographers will be thrilled!
Find a waterside café to daydream (about 30 RMB per person), your social media caption is ready: “I’m in Yunnan, slowing down for a whole spring.”

🚗 Return at noon:
Take a bus or carpool from the ancient town entrance back to the city (10-20 RMB), then choose high-speed train or bus depending on your schedule.
