This place is not actually our must-visit attraction.
At first, it was a choice between it and Sulphur Mountain.
Fortunately, my heart is with the swans 🦢
This place is so beautiful, it's like a fairy tale world.

#Close Encounter with the Swan

After parking the car and approaching the lake, I could hear the calls of swans
A group of swans are playing in the lake
The whole picture is too dreamy
If you want to attract swans, just hold a bucket of popcorn in your hand🍿

#Sand Soup Hot Spring

The weather is super cold but watching the swans swimming leisurely on the water
Touch the lake water and it turns out to be warm
It turns out they are all taking a hot spring bath♨️
There is also a foot bath by the lake for visitors to use for free

#Visiting souvenir shops and eating ice cream

There is a souvenir shop by the lake
Xiaohuozi got a bird doll that can talk to people
The store sells soft serve ice cream
Of course you have to try it 🍦

🧳Day itinerary:
🔸Take the Abashiri icebreaker in the morning (unfortunately there is no floating ice)
🔸Eat lunch nearby
🔸Drive for 1 hour to Lake Kussharo
🔸To Tokachi Onsen Hotel (3 hours by car)

If you visit Lake Kussharo
Consider adding Abashiri/Kushiro/ or Hoshino to your itinerary
Although the location is not convenient
But it is a personal recommendation of the scenic spot 📍
