🎏 “Swan Kite & Torn Tail Kite” Kites found only in Srisunthon, Phuket! #Public Relations and Tourism Promotion of Srisunthon Municipality

Who would have thought that toys in the middle of a windy field during childhood would become valuable art until today?

Phi Got – Worapot Rattanakay from Village 8, Srisunthon Subdistrict, Thalang District, Phuket Province grew up with the sound of paper flying and the wind blowing kites in the sky. He was inspired by his grandfather who has been making and selling kites since the previous generation.

“I want people in Phuket to preserve our kites because this is truly a local art of Phuket. I’m afraid that Thai kites will disappear in the future,” Phi Got told us sincerely.

Phi Got now has a shop selling kite-making equipment and is also a lecturer. And members of the Thai and International Kite Associations

The good news is…
At the Fruit Street Festival 𝗫 𝗔𝗿𝘁𝘀 𝗙𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗮𝗹 🎨🍍, there are workshops to try making your own kites at the event. I must say that you can’t miss it!!
