The Thousand Islands are the easiest island escape from Jakarta, just a short boat ride away. I visited Pulau Macan and Pulau Pari, and both were stunning in their own ways. Clear water, soft sand, and relaxed vibes make it perfect for a quick summer weekend trip. It’s a great spot for snorkeling, kayaking, and even paddleboarding. The proximity to the city makes it super accessible, yet it still feels like a proper beach holiday.
