I've longed to visit Guoqing Temple for a long time. In addition to its profound history, there are also large farm fields in front of the temple. Here, you can find the idyllic comfort of farm life and the solemn majesty of the temple. Zen is the sound of frogs croaking in the fields in summer.
Guoqing Temple, originally built during the Sui Dynasty, takes its name from the saying, "If the temple is built, the country will be peaceful." The Sui Pagoda and Sui Plum bear the deep marks of history, and the mottled courtyard walls are full of shadows of the past. The brilliant red of the Chinese redbud flowers is even more dazzling in the incense smoke.
Inside the temple is the boundless world of Buddhism, and outside the temple is the earthly world of fields and farmlands. The spring sunshine warms the heart. Walking across the stone bridge in front of the temple, I suddenly want to shout—I have been to this world.
