Changjin Lake filming location, a hidden camping spot in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai—Hanshan Lake

As a photographer who loves traveling with all my heart 📷, I want to share a paradise on earth that I have visited four times in the past decade. 💗 This is an upcoming popular family travel destination, the filming location of the movie "The Battle at Lake Changjin," and a hidden, free, five-star camping site in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Shanghai—🎉 Hanshan Lake, Tiantai, Zhejiang 🎉. Here you’ll find vast lawns, the naked-eye visible Milky Way, and morning mist swirling around. Bring your family and kids, escape the city noise, put down your phones, awaken your senses, and enjoy the beauty of nature. 🍀

🌟Transportation Guide:

About a 3.5-hour drive from Shanghai; set your navigation destination to Tianxin Village, Jietou Town;

Opposite Tianxin Village, there is a simple sign "Fengyuan," turn left and drive down to reach the lakeside parking lot.

🌟Accommodation Recommendations:

The original Hanshan Lake Resort has closed, but nearby villages offer farmhouse stays with simple conditions full of rural charm. 🌈 Highly recommend camping with kids to experience a lifestyle closer to nature.

🌟Family Camping Tips:

The camping lawn is spacious; the right side near the village has restrooms for convenience, while the left side is quiet and private with exclusive lake views.

Be cautious of mud when fetching water by the lake and ensure children’s safety.

There is dry firewood in the surrounding woods; it’s recommended to bring a fire pit to protect the lawn environment. We built a fire on the sandy area near the campsite, enjoying the wild fun.

The village has restrooms and convenience stores providing basic water and food, convenient for families with children.

On clear nights, you can watch the Milky Way; in the early morning, the lake is covered with thin mist, creating a mesmerizing scene.

Pets and children are welcome; near the left lawn, there is a sandy area where kids can play freely.

🌟🌟🌟Secret Tips:

There is a dock on the left side of Hanshan Lake Resort with boats to the peninsula village in the lake, like a peach blossom land on earth, perfect for family exploration.

The best season to visit Hanshan Lake is autumn; from early to mid-November, the mountains are covered with red leaves, creating picturesque scenery.

The Hanshan Ancient Trail allows you to climb to the top for a panoramic lake view; there are signposts along the way, suitable for light family adventures.
