A Fascinating Glimpse into Albania’s History

Bunk’Art 1 is one of Tirana’s most memorable attractions, set inside a vast Cold War bunker built for Albania’s political elite. The underground tunnels, preserved rooms, and exhibitions give a powerful insight into life under communist rule, blending history with art in an immersive way. It feels both eerie and eye-opening, and you leave with a much deeper understanding of Albania’s past.

Entry costs around 800 ALL (approx. €8), which is excellent value for the experience. Located just outside the city centre, it’s easily accessible by taxi or public transport. A must-see for anyone visiting Tirana.
