Koishikawa Korakuen Garden, Tokyo

Koishikawa Korakuen Garden, located near Tokyo Dome in Bunkyo Ward, Tokyo.

In the early Edo period, in 1623, Yorifusa Tokugawa, the founder of the Mito Tokugawa clan, built the garden for his Edo residence (later to become the main residence). It was completed during the reign of the second feudal lord, Mitsukuni.

Koishikawa Korakuen Garden, with its beautiful harmony and changing appearance with the seasons, still maintains its outstanding landscape. It has been designated a National Cultural Property as a Special Historic Site and a Special Place of Scenic Beauty.

Enjoy the autumn foliage in the fall! 🍁
