District with an atmosphere of old Tokyo

Asakusa (浅草) is the center of Tokyo's shitamachi (literally "low city"), one of Tokyo's districts, where an atmosphere of the Tokyo of past decades survives.

Here’re something that I recommend you to do when traveling to Asakusa

1. Wearing Yukata and strolling around Asakusa, there’re many rental shops for you to choose.
2. Doing shopping at Nakamise Shopping Street
3. Enjoying cherry blossoms in Sumida park
4. Praying at Sensoji Temple and Asakusa Shrine

Asakusa can easily explored on foot but you can consider a guided tour on a rickshaw (jinrikisha, literally "man powered vehicle"). A 30 minute tour for two persons costs around 9000 yen. Shorter and longer courses are also available.
