⛩️Introduction to the shrine
◉ Hinokuma Jingu Shrine
The main deity is Hinokuma no Okami
The sacred object is the Higata no Kagami (Mirror of the Sun).

◉ Kunikake Jingu Shrine
The main deity is Kunikake no Okami
The sacred object is the Hiboko no Kagami (Mirror of the Sun).

The sacred mirror is considered to be the same as the Yatagarasu (Mirror of the Heavenly Mirror), a sacred treasure of the Inner Shrine of Ise Jingu Shrine.

It was founded in the second year of the reign of Emperor Jimmu, about 2,600 years ago. It is also mentioned in the "Nihon Shoki," and two shrine buildings were built to enshrine the two deities.

🗺️ Shrine highlights
- This is the only shrine in the country where two shrines are enshrined!
- Photography is prohibited within the shrine grounds.
- Only regular goshuin (stamps) are available, and only written ones.

💗 Impressions of the visit
This is a rare shrine where two high-ranking shrines are enshrined side by side. You can see this on the shrine sign, so don't miss it! This shrine also has a strong sense of the sanctity of the sacred grounds.
