Kanda Shrine @Kanda ⛩

During my trip, I was able to see the Kanda Festival, which will be held from May 11th to 17th, 2023.
The Kanda Festival is said to be one of the three major festivals in Japan and the three major festivals in Edo.
It seems that it is sometimes called the Tenka Festival!
It seems that a festival event was held at Kanda Shrine from the 7th before the Kanda Festival began.
It seems that you can also watch traditional Japanese instruments (sho, hichiriki, and ryuteki), gagaku, and shrine maiden dances for free.
In addition, events such as kyogen and soba-making are held, and it is a festival where you can feel the precious Japanese culture.
If you access the Kanda Festival website, you can download the "parade route map," so it is a good idea to get it before participating.
I never thought I would be able to see people carrying a mikoshi while walking around, so it was a valuable experience.
This is the scene and atmosphere of the Kanda Festival around Jimbocho Station.
A festival mood was also in the air in the shopping district.
The number of mikoshi (portable shrines) is said to exceed 200, including all the large and small shrines in each town.
It was a very lively and brave festival of Edokkos.
