The Cat Paradise, Gotokuji Temple, Tokyo

Gotoku-ji Temple, which has become a must-visit for cat lovers in recent years, is one of the birthplaces of the legendary Japanese Maneki Neko (because the cat here raises its right hand and there are no small gold coins in its hand). Located in Setagaya Ward, Tokyo, take the JR to Shinjuku Station, then transfer to the Odakyu Line and get off at Gotokuji Station. It's about a 10-minute walk and is easy to find.

The dedication hall of Gotoku-ji Temple is filled with lucky cats of all sizes. I watched a video introduction before leaving, but it was still as shocking as seeing it with my own eyes. In addition to taking photos, you can also buy different sizes of Maneki Neko at Gotoku-ji Temple, ranging from 2 cm to 30 cm, as well as ema, amulets and pendants. You can take the lucky cat home after making a wish, and bring it back to fulfill your wish when your wish comes true. After I made a wish that day, I placed the cat directly in the offering box, hoping that mixing up the order would not affect my fortune.
