Nanchang Universal Studios started construction in 1996 and officially opened in 1998. The park was planned to be built in three phases: the first phase included infrastructure and the main landscape; the second phase included supporting facilities; and the third phase included roller coasters, helicopters, and other attractions.
Nanchang Universal Park, located on Yuping East Street in Nanchang City, brings together iconic landscapes and buildings from around the world, including the statue of an ancient Roman knight, the emblem of Los Angeles, the Egyptian obelisk, the Spanish Steps, the "Manneken Pis" in Brussels, and the Gardens of Versailles. This largest theme park in Nanchang has also become the first choice for Nanchang citizens to "travel around the world."
The scenic area embodies the European garden style and is divided into eight major scenic areas: Roman Forum, Flag Square, European Street, Children's Playground, Sailor Square, Alibaba Street, World Style Dance Performance Square, and Japanese Garden.
The park brings together natural scenery, historical sites, folk houses, world-class art sculptures, and folk customs, recreating a wonderful world, including the world-famous Bavaria, the ancient Egyptian obelisk, and the Statue of Liberty.
Nanchang's Universal Studios Park has a subtropical monsoon climate, so it has a Versailles Garden, which is suitable for travel in all seasons.
