Asakusa's sightseeing spots are more than just Sensoji Temple!

Asakusa Shrine is located to the east of the main hall of Sensoji Temple.
It is commonly known as Sanja-sama.
Ebisu, one of the Seven Lucky Gods of Asakusa, is also enshrined here.
The annual festival in May is called the Sanja Matsuri, and not only Asakusa residents but many other people gather for the festival, making Asakusa very lively.
Next to the main hall is the portable shrine storehouse, which houses the three portable shrines carried in the Sanja Matsuri.
The shrine is said to bring good harvests, prosperous business, and protection from evil.
There is also a rice field within the grounds.
Many tourists only visit Sensoji Temple, but Asakusa Shrine is also recommended.
