Sumida Aquarium

During summer vacation, I went to Sumida Aquarium first thing in the morning with my 7-year-old son. I heard that it's especially quiet between 9 and 10am before Solamachi opens, so we got up early and went, which was a great decision!

At 9am, there were only a few customers waiting. We had the place to ourselves and were able to look around at our leisure. After 10am, it got pretty crowded, so if you want a quieter time, I recommend going early. The displays were quite elaborate, and even adults could enjoy them. My son said that the garden eels were especially interesting. The aquarium itself was small, so we only stayed there for about 2 hours.
