[Kumano Shrine, Kumano Town, Tokyo] Commonly known as "Kumakuma Shrine"

"Kumano-cho Kumano Shrine" in Itabashi-ku, Tokyo

Niwata Suisuke Masaujikane, the 14th generation grandson of Emperor Uda's son Prince Atsumi, moved to Nakamaru Village, Toshima County.

It is said that he founded the shrine by inviting Kumano Gongen. It was moved to its current location in 1587.

Perhaps because of its origins as Kumano Shrine ⛩,
it is commonly known as "Kumakuma Shrine"
and you can see lots of cute bears 🧸.
The "Fantasy Garden" to the left of the worship hall is full of things to see, such as the Musubi Tree, the Wakare Tree, and the Omokaru Stone 🪨 ✨
