A Day in Asakusa, Tokyo

Spent the day exploring the historic heart of Tokyo – Asakusa! This area has such a perfect mix of old-school charm and modern Tokyo energy.

Highlights:
• Senso-ji Temple – iconic, peaceful, and buzzing with energy. Don’t miss the giant red lantern at Kaminarimon Gate!
• Walked down Nakamise Street – packed with traditional snacks, souvenirs, and the smell of fresh senbei everywhere
• Tried melonpan with ice cream (so good)
• Took a rickshaw ride for a fun little tour with local stories
• Ended the afternoon with a Sumida River stroll and views of the Tokyo Skytree

Asakusa feels like stepping into a different time, with so much culture, history, and street food to enjoy. Would 100% recommend adding it to your Tokyo itinerary!
