Introducing "Ohitsuzen Tanbo Omotesando Branch" located in Omotesando, Tokyo. It is about a 3-minute walk from Omotesando Station, making it easily accessible from the station.
Here, you can enjoy various types of rice that change every month, making it a must-visit spot for rice lovers 🤤
It often gets crowded with lines during lunchtime, so we recommend avoiding peak hours when visiting. I came around 1:30 PM and was able to enter smoothly without waiting.
This time, they featured Sasanishiki rice, and although I was torn over the side dishes, I chose the recommended grilled Spanish mackerel with salt! Along with the main fish dish, it comes with a finishing dashi chazuke, so be sure to get a refill 🍚✨ Of course, rice refills are free. The freshly cooked rice is served in an ohitsu (wooden container), warming both your heart and stomach.
Besides the set meals, there is a wide variety of a la carte dishes, so if you have a hearty appetite, ordering extra side dishes will make your meal more colorful and enjoyable 🙂↕️
Also, the onigiri (rice balls) on the menu are available for takeout, which is a nice bonus.
The surrounding area is lively with shopping facilities and office buildings, so why not stop by during your lunch break or while shopping? A short walk away is Yoyogi Park and other large parks, making it a great idea to have a picnic with these onigiri.
