A Stylish and Wonderful Library: Waseda University International Literature Museum

This time, we introduce the Waseda University International Literature Museum.

Opened in 2021 on Waseda University's Waseda Campus, this museum serves as a research and dissemination hub for Haruki Murakami's literature and international literature. Renovated by architect Kengo Kuma, the space exudes the warmth of wood throughout.

• Haruki Murakami’s Study: A recreated space of his actual study, displaying his favorite desk, chair, and book collection.

• Admission Reservation: General visitors need to make a reservation in advance via the official website.

• No Reservation Required Time: From 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM is a priority admission time for Waseda University students, and general visitors may face entry restrictions.

• Café Use: The café "Orange Cat – Orange Cat -" can be used without a reservation.

• Photography: Photography is allowed in some areas inside the museum, but please follow staff instructions regarding where photography is permitted.
