Dear friends 🥰, today I have to share with you this amazing century-old French tea shop in Ginza, Tokyo — Mariage Frères!
With a history of 168 years, it is a classic French luxury tea brand 🤩, supplying tea to LV stores and Michelin three-star restaurants! Hidden in a small street in Ginza, the shop is exquisitely designed and spans three full floors~
The first floor is filled with so many gift teas that it’s dazzling, featuring teas from around the world and various blends, even some named after classic literary works — super creative 👏.
Highly recommend the MARCO POLO (Marco Polo Black Tea) 🥃, which is a smoked tea that smells absolutely amazing! It blends the scents of Tibetan flowers and fruits, full of oriental floral and fruity aromas. The taste is richly floral and sweet, with complex layers; the mild black tea is neither sour nor bitter, with a light and refreshing texture — truly a feast for the taste buds!
The interior decoration is full of French romantic style, vintage yet exquisite, with waiters dressed in white suits, evoking the romance of Paris 💕. A reminder to friends: there are queues here on weekends, so if you want to enjoy the delicious tea and snacks, be sure to go early, or there won’t be much cake left~
