🍞【Ikebukuro Takase】Take a break at a long-established pure coffee shop in Ikebukuro with a retro aroma.
Right outside the east exit of Ikebukuro Station stands "Takase Ikebukuro Main Store," which retains the atmosphere of the Showa era.
Founded in 1920! It is a long-established store with over 100 years of history.
The first floor is a bakery & Western confectionery section lined with bread and cakes,
the second floor is a classic coffee room, the third floor is an authentic Western-style restaurant,
and the ninth floor has a lounge overlooking the city of Ikebukuro... the entire retro building feels like a single tourist spot.
⸻
🍽 Recommended ways to enjoy
- The second-floor coffee room is famous for its thick-cut toast with plenty of butter for breakfast.
- Traditional pudding à la mode and nostalgic Napolitan pasta are also great◎
- On the ninth-floor lounge, enjoy a relaxing café time while gazing at the cityscape of Ikebukuro through the window.
