🏨Hotel History
The Okura Tokyo has a long history, known for its unique Japanese 🇯🇵 design style since opening in 1962. Renovated in 2019, it skillfully blends modern design 🎨 with traditional Japanese elements. It has hosted numerous heads of state 🫅, including Obama and Princess Diana. Its rich history makes it a landmark in its own right.
🏠Hotel Facilities
The hotel mainly consists of two towers, Prestige and Heritage 🗼. If I remember correctly, my last stay was in a Prestige room, where the bathtub 🛀 offers views of Tokyo Tower 🗼 while you soak, and you can watch TV 📺 at the same time. Notably, the quality of the toiletries 🧴 is excellent, and the familiar fragrance 😍 is captivating—I even took a photo of the brand name to buy it when I return home 🛍️.
💁♀️Hotel Services
Daily cleaning is provided twice, with turndown service 💁♀️ in the evening for a second tidy-up. Upon entering the room, chocolates 🍫 and water 💧 are placed by the bedside, and the turned-down corner of the bed and neatly laid barefoot rug instantly relieve fatigue 😫. The pajamas 👕 are extremely comfortable; whether cotton or linen, they exude a natural calming feel 😌, making me want to purchase them as well.
📝Overall Impression
Located near Toranomon in Minato Ward, the surroundings are mostly business 👔 office buildings. The hotel 🏨 is quietly situated on a slope, surrounded by greenery 🌳 and with tight security. However, some have noted that it is a bit far from the subway station 🚇, making travel less convenient. It may not be ideal for trips focused on city walking. Still, if you want to enjoy a staycation or experience a Japanese-style 🇯🇵 hotel, it is highly recommended 👍~
