When you think of Izushi, you think of soba! Izushi Soba is famous for its plate soba noodles, and there are over 40 soba restaurants in the town. There is also a soba tour where you can choose 3 restaurants you like and compare them. At Yamashita Soba, which I visited, 5 plates is one serving. The smooth soba noodles and sweet soup go well together and you can finish it in no time. If you eat 20 bowls, you get something like a handprint.
