On this trip to Tokyo, what I looked forward to most was ascending Shibuya Sky to overlook this bustling metropolis from its highest point. Upon arriving at the Shibuya Scramble Square building, I eagerly took the elevator, ready to embrace a visual feast from day to night.
When I stepped onto the outdoor observation deck on the top floor, an incredibly expansive view unfolded before my eyes. The sky was a clear blue with excellent visibility, and the cluster of skyscrapers in the distance was fully in sight. The most delightful surprise was clearly seeing another Tokyo landmark—the Tokyo Tower. Its red and white figure stood out vividly under the sunlight, creating a beautiful contrast with the surrounding modern buildings.
As time passed, the color of the sky began to change. The setting sun dyed the sky a warm orange, reflecting off the city lights that started to glow. On the distant horizon, the clear silhouette of Mount Fuji appeared faintly in the evening glow. Many visitors, like me, quietly admired this rare and peaceful beauty.
After nightfall, all of Tokyo transformed into a sea of lights. The dense lights stretched from beneath my feet to the far distance, resembling a galaxy scattered across the ground. At the iconic photo spot on the observation deck, I took commemorative pictures with friends. In the photos, behind us was the dazzling city nightscape, and beneath our feet was a web of lights, making everything look so dreamlike.
From the city's pulse during the day, to the soft light at sunset, and then to the myriad lights at night, Shibuya Sky allowed me to fully experience Tokyo’s beauty from day to night. This place is not only an excellent vantage point to gaze at Tokyo but also a magical space where one can feel the unique charm of this city.
