Tokyo Bay Shiomi Prince Hotel Corner Twin Room

The Tokyo Bay Shiomi Prince Hotel is conveniently located just a 2-minute walk from Shiomi Station on the Keiyo Line. It offers affordable rates and is only a 10-minute ride to Disneyland, making it an attractive choice for travelers. The hotel features spacious bathtubs and even has a large public bath, though I didn’t personally use it.

The rooms boast a generous size of 35 square meters, and I booked a stay with breakfast included for just over 10,000 yen. However, the location can be somewhat inconvenient if you don’t have plans to visit Disneyland, as the hotel is only accessible via the Keiyo Line and lacks nearby subway connections.

While it’s only three stops and about nine minutes from Tokyo Station, transferring to the airport express train can be a hassle, often requiring over 10 minutes of walking. During rush hours, it may take even longer. For convenience, I recommend paying extra to travel via Hatchobori Station instead.

Despite the name "Tokyo Bay," the hotel is situated on an island connected to the mainland by bridges, so the sea view is minimal. The area around Shiomi Station and the hotel lacks vibrant commercial districts, which is likely why the rates are about half of what you’d pay for similar city-grade hotels in central Tokyo, competing with business-class accommodations.

The corner twin room is located at the end of the hallway, but it only has one window, offering a view of the Keiyo Line tracks. The bed is a Hollywood-style setup, and there’s a sofa bed of the same size as the bed, which includes storage drawers—ideal for long-term guests. The room is equipped with essentials like an air purifier and a Nespresso machine, showcasing the hotel’s modern amenities.

Breakfast is served in a spacious area with live cooking stations scattered throughout. However, considering the price of around 3,000 yen, the breakfast offerings felt a bit underwhelming.

Check-in starts at 3 PM, but even arriving at 2:30 PM, there was already a long queue. While I managed to check in within 10 minutes, the line grew significantly after 3 PM. The hotel has about three self-check-in machines, which allow for automated check-in and check-out, but they don’t seem to accommodate special requests. Thank you.
