Tokyo | Trust me! Shibuya's sky is incredibly beautiful

I've been to Tokyo several times, but I've always been unable to get tickets for Shibuya Sky. This time, I prepared ahead of time. I finally managed to secure a great evening slot, allowing me to experience the daytime flight viewing from the rooftop, the stunning sunset, and the nightfall as Shibuya's lights came on.

Let's start with the tickets. They went on sale two weeks ago, available on the official website and on trips. The evening slot was incredibly popular, practically selling out instantly. For safety reasons, backpacks, tripods, headphones, hats, and food were stored in the free lockers on the 46th floor. Lockers are closed if the rooftop is too hot or there's strong wind or heavy rain.

We arrived around 5:00 AM, and upon entering, we were greeted by the newly opened rooftop, which had cooled down. Taking the escalator upstairs, we were treated to a spectacular view of the city skyline and, on clear days, Mount Fuji. Resting on the central apron, we could watch flights take off and land at Narita Airport, right below the flight path. There were also great photo spots here; just sit down and snap photos of long legs against the Tokyo skyline.

Next, I recommend avoiding the sun upstairs. The Paradise Lounge here sells coffee, snacks, and alcoholic beverages. However, due to the crowds, seating is hard to come by.

Wait until sunset before returning to the rooftop. The distant lights gradually light up, and the Shibuya intersection begins to bustle. Take photos from the escalator, and any angle will yield beautiful shots.

After dark, the rooftop also emits a beam of light into the sky. Just like the Shibuyasky promotion, Shibuya is at your feet, Tokyo is in your eyes, connecting the world and becoming one with the sky.
