First Time in Tokyo: Family Adventures & New Discoveries

It was my first time visiting Tokyo, and I wanted my family to experience its energy, culture, and a touch of magic. From the world’s busiest crossing to quiet shrines, and even a day of wizarding wonders, Tokyo left us with unforgettable memories.

Day 1 – Shibuya Crossing & First Impressions
We landed in Tokyo and wasted no time heading straight to Shibuya. Standing at the famous Shibuya Scramble Crossing, we were swept into a sea of people moving in every direction — it felt like the heartbeat of Tokyo. We also stopped by Hachiko Statue 🐕, the loyal dog, which was especially touching for the kids. Dinner was at a local izakaya where we tried yakitori and ramen — simple, hearty, and delicious.

Day 2 – Kamakura & Enoshima Day Trip
To balance the city energy, we ventured out to Kamakura, a coastal town known for its serene atmosphere. The highlight was the Great Buddha of Kamakura (Daibutsu) — standing tall and calm under the sky. Afterwards, we hopped over to Enoshima Island, walking along its charming streets filled with seafood stalls. The sea breeze, temple visits, and island views gave us a refreshing contrast to Tokyo’s buzz.

Day 3 – A Magical Day at Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo (Harry Potter)
This was one of the most exciting days, especially for the younger ones! We spent a whole day at the Warner Bros. Studio Tour Tokyo – The Making of Harry Potter ⚡️. Walking through Diagon Alley, stepping inside the Great Hall, and sipping on butterbeer made it feel like we had been transported into the wizarding world. Even those of us who weren’t hardcore fans found it magical.
