Walking around Tokyo feels like encountering a new scene every moment. I wondered if there was another city where Japanese traditions are alive and well, yet a short walk away, a completely different world coexists with a sophisticated and sophisticated atmosphere.
A day spent leisurely browsing traditional snacks and souvenirs around Sensoji Temple, soaking up the atmosphere, and then enjoying cafes and select shops on the modern streets just beyond. This contrast was the true joy of traveling in Tokyo.
If I needed a break from walking, simply stopping by a cafe and watching people through the window was enough to create a sense of leisure. It's a place where you can travel at your own pace, without having to force yourself to keep up with the city's pace.
Travel Tips
• Sensoji → Omotesando is within 30 minutes by subway.
• Asakusa is best visited early in the morning for photos.
• Omotesando is recommended on a weekday, as there can be a wait for cafes.
• If you have a shopping plan, check out stores offering tax refunds in advance.
Tokyo is a city where a leisurely pace is more appropriate than grand plans. Every moment you walk, you find a reason to travel, and the moment you turn around, you want to come back again.
