Visit the Tumenyu scenic area, hike to the mountain peaks, and explore the cultural sites around the area. You can also enjoy local cuisine and take scenic photos at the viewpoints.

There are many valley entrances in the Qinling Mountains. Tumen Valley, located in Wangmang Street Office, Chang'an District, is perhaps the most "exquisite" one among them. This valley, which is only a dozen kilometers long and connects with Jiao Valley, is called "Banjie Valley" by the locals.
Tumenyu Village rests on the Yu'an Peak of Mount Zhongnan to the south, borders Zhugoukou to the east, connects to Taiyi Jiaoyu Mountain to the west, and overlooks Fanchuan to the north. The village stretches from east to west, forming an embrace, with the narrow Tumenyu River dividing the village into two parts, east and west. Village elders recount that Tumenyu Village and Tumenyu have been "bound together" from ancient times to the present. Village history records mention Tumenyu Village in the Xianning County Chronicles, dating back to the 17th year of the Jiaqing reign of the Qing Dynasty. A ravine stretches across the earthen hills to the south of the village, its sides straight like a gate, serving as the entrance and exit for pedestrians ascending the mountain. Hence the name Tumenyu. The ravine is named Tumenyu, and the village is located at its mouth, so the village takes its name from the valley.
Tumenyu is located in Wangmang Tumenyu Village, Chang'an District, Xi'an, approximately 3 kilometers from the Ring Mountain Tourist Highway. The valley's southwestern summit boasts the renowned Erlong Pagoda, a thousand-year-old pagoda. To the south lies Cuihua Mountain, known as the "Splendid Beauty of Zhongnan." Along the way, fruit fields, houses, ancient temples, and pagodas are a vibrant spectacle, making it a classic Qinling flower-viewing route. Every spring, rapeseed blossoms, peach blossoms, apricot blossoms, wild peach blossoms, dogwood blossoms, and silver forsythia blossoms bloom in unison, creating a vibrant blend of natural beauty and cultural interest, offering both leisure and adventure.
Tumenyu boasts a warm temperate, semi-humid continental monsoon climate. Each year, Tumenyu hosts the annual Peach Blossom Festival. With thousands of acres of peach trees covering the hills and valleys, featuring over a dozen varieties, including Zaotian, Youtao, Shahong, Qinwang, and Chuanzhongdao, Tumenyu has become a popular destination for peach blossom viewing. March to May is the best time to visit.
