DMM Kariyushi Aquarium in Okinawa

DMM Kariyushi Aquarium in Okinawa was the most delightful surprise of my trip!

Inside, I encountered a group of adorable meerkats, each busy sniffing around. One even stood upright like a diligent guard watching over its territory, which had me grinning from ear to ear.

I also came across a sloth lazily sprawled on a tree branch, resembling a fluffy ball hanging there. It perfectly embodied the attitude of "life is short, so sleep first" 🤣🤣

Heading downstairs, I was awestruck by a massive circular tank. Looking up at the fish swimming above felt like stepping into the deep sea. For a moment, it was as if time stood still.

Next to the animal exhibit, there's a "fish spa" pool where tiny fish nibbled at my hands. The ticklish, tingling sensation was both fascinating and therapeutic, leaving everyone around laughing non-stop 🤪

The entire aquarium features areas designed to resemble coastal caves, with a backdrop of realistic blue skies, white clouds, and ocean views. It felt like being instantly transported from the aquarium to the seaside.

This place is truly unique—not just a quiet aquarium for observation but a mix of interactive and healing surprises, like a blend of a zoo and a theme park.

Highly recommended for those visiting Okinawa who want to relax without too much walking. DMM Kariyushi is absolutely worth it!
