Tonglu's very off-the-beaten-path photo spot | Shuikou Zen Temple! Tonglu is a beautiful county town. Today I found a very hidden gem in Tonglu, Huanxi Village's Shuikou Zen Temple and Shen'ao Ancient Village.
These two places are very close to each other and can be visited together.
Tonglu Shuikou Zen Temple is located beside Anlan Bridge, surrounded by water on three sides and backed by green mountains. The ancient bridge and the thousand-year-old camphor tree complement each other beautifully!
There is a 500-year-old big tree🌳 next to the ancient bridge.
The main photo spot at Shuikou Zen Temple is on the bridge📷. When I went, the water level was a bit low, but the scenery after rain🌧️ is even more beautiful!
After visiting the ancient bridge, you can also check out the temple!
Shen'ao Ancient Village mainly features old houses with Hui-style architecture.
In summer, many children play in the water at Huanxi Village, and there are lotus flowers🪷 in the village.
Transportation🚗
Navigate to Shuikou Zen Temple.
You can park along the village roads🅿️.
After visiting Huanxi Village, navigate to Shen'ao Ancient Village, about 10 minutes away. You can see buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties in the ancient village!
Notes📒
1️⃣ Parking🅿️ at Shuikou Zen Temple is usually fine along the roadside, but be careful if it’s very crowded.
2️⃣ Since these two places are small, the visit usually takes about 2 to 3 hours.
3️⃣ Because Huanxi Village is still undeveloped, there aren’t many facilities yet.
