The Yelang civilization is a fascinating and somewhat mysterious part of ancient Chinese history, especially connected to the region of what is now southwestern China.

Centered around what is now Guizhou Province, and parts of Yunnan and Sichuan.

The Yelang people lived in the mountainous regions of southwest China.

Yelang was an ancient tribal kingdom during the Warring States period (around 3rd century BCE) and the early Han Dynasty.

Known as one of the many “barbarian” states by ancient Chinese records, but it had its own distinct culture and political structure.

The kingdom was relatively isolated due to its mountainous terrain but played a role in regional trade and cultural exchanges.
