Wuzhen Ancient City

#NewYearNewTrip
Wuzhen is an ancient city located in the northern part of Zhejiang Province, China. It has a history of more than 1,300 years. The city is famous as the "Venice of the East" because of its intricate canal network and well-preserved ancient architecture. The city is divided into two main parts: the East (Dongzha) and the West (Xizha). The West is larger. This trip is very impressive, as if we are traveling back in time. I must say that Wuzhen was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the late 9th century. It has well-preserved ancient architecture. The city is surrounded by water, with ancient buildings, stone bridges, and beautiful ancient Chinese style. We can spend time from day to night. At night, the lights are even more beautiful. There are paper lanterns of various shapes hanging everywhere. The entrance fee is 150 yuan (750 baht). The city is very large and there are many zones to walk around. Each zone has its own unique beauty. It is a bit far from Shanghai city, but it is worth it.
How to get there
Get off at Shanghai South Railway Station on the red line.
Then walk to South Long Distance Station to buy a bus ticket to Wuzhen. It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. I recommend it.
