We didn’t have to carry our bags; they were sent directly to our room. Wuzhen’s management system was incredibly efficient—you can even track room cleaning and luggage arrival on WeChat.

Exploring Wuzhen

After check-in, we wandered through the ancient town, and honestly, the scenery looked like a painting! 🖼️ I grabbed a smoked plum tea—super refreshing—and we had lunch at the popular MoMoDeJia. The meal was only 158 RMB with unlimited rice refills!

By 3:00 PM, we checked into our waterfront room (Building 29, Room 2291). Sitting on the balcony, watching boats drift by, was pure relaxation. Later, we took the free shuttle bus to explore the outer area (non-guests pay 10 RMB per ride).

One of the highlights was our Hanfu experience! We rented traditional Chinese outfits (168 RMB, including makeup & hairstyling)—a must-try for the full Wuzhen vibe.

The part I was most excited about—Wuzhen’s signature Morning Tea Guest experience—finally arrived! 🌅

At 7:30 AM, we took a peaceful morning stroll. Unlike the bustling daytime, the alleys were quiet, as only guests staying inside the scenic area could roam around. Breakfast was a spread of local delicacies like osmanthus cakes, and everything was self-serve & unlimited—absolutely delicious!

Checking Out & Heading to Suzhou

Check-out was seamless—the homestay owner arranged luggage transport to the visitor center, so we just picked it up on the way out. From there, we took a direct bus to Suzhou—super convenient, as the stop is right across from the visitor center. 👍
