Wuzhen is located in Tongxiang City, Jiaxing, Zhejiang Province. It is an ancient town in Jiangnan with a history of 1,300 years and is known as "China's Last Watertown Family."
🚌 Transportation Guide
- Airplane: Fly to Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, then take the airport shuttle bus directly to Wuzhen, about 1.5 hours by car.
- High-speed Rail: Arrive at Tongxiang Station, then take a direct bus to Wuzhen or a taxi, about 30 minutes. Taxi fare is around 50-60 RMB.
- Self-driving: Navigate to "Wuzhen Scenic Area Parking Lot," convenient parking with reasonable fees.

In the old days, there was a Long Street Banquet during the Spring Festival, where wealthy families would open wide banquets in the alleys, inviting neighbors and friends to share the New Year’s blessings.
There is also a New Year God worship ceremony. On New Year's Eve, offerings are prepared, and the priest and priestess serve wine, light candles, recite prayers, and release carp fish as part of the ritual.
In summer, there is a water stepping custom where people play in the water, and being splashed with water symbolizes blessings.
