Staying in Wuzhen makes you not want to leave! This Eryou Homestay brings the poetic charm of Jiangnan right into the room, with waterside scenery just outside the window✨

Before coming to Wuzhen, I was worried about cramped and noisy accommodations, but after booking Eryou Homestay, I realized you can actually stay so comfortably in an ancient town! Opening the wooden door leads to a bluestone path, and at night, falling asleep to the sound of flowing water, even dreams are filled with the gentleness of Jiangnan~

✨Room Soundproofing and Cleanliness

- My first reaction upon entering the room was "so clean!" The natural wood furniture is polished to a shine with no dust, the white bedding is neatly made and feels soft to the touch, and there’s only a faint scent of sunlight—no musty or strange odors at all~☀️
- The soundproofing is much better than expected! Although it faces a small river, once the window is closed, you can hardly hear the water flowing, and even the voices of neighbors are muffled. As a light sleeper, I actually slept through the night without needing earplugs anymore~😴
- The bathroom is super fresh! No dirt in the tile gaps, the washbasin is spotless, even the mirror has no water spots, the shower heats up quickly and stays stable, and after showering the floor isn’t slippery—such thoughtful details~💧
- Even the small items are carefully chosen! The teacup on the table is made of celadon, and there’s a mosquito-repellent sachet by the bed with a mild herbal scent that’s not overpowering. With the window open at night, no worries about mosquito bites, making the stay comfortable and worry-free~🌿

🍽️Dining Experience

- Breakfast is freshly made by the homestay auntie! A bowl of Wuzhen specialty wontons with thin skins so you can see the filling, soup flavored with dried shrimp and seaweed, so delicious I drank all the broth. The brown sugar steamed bun is fluffy and sweet, bursting with wheat aroma~🥟
- I also tried the local sauce duck noodles! The noodles are chewy, the sauce duck is stewed until tender enough to chew the bones for flavor, the sauce is perfectly seasoned, and paired with refreshing side dishes, it warms the stomach and is super satisfying~🍜
- If you don’t want to go out at night, the auntie can cook home-style dishes! I ordered steamed fish, which was so tender it melted in my mouth, with fresh seasoning, paired with stir-fried seasonal vegetables and bamboo shoots. It tastes just like home, even better than restaurants outside~🐟

🎁Other Tips

- The location is amazing! Only a 5-minute walk to the West Scenic Zone entrance, no need to get up early to rush, and in the evening you can stroll along the riverbank watching the sunset on the stone bridge. Every snap is a photo full of atmosphere~🚶
- The owner is super helpful! They provide a hand-drawn map marking must-try snacks and hidden spots, and even helped me book a rowing boat ride in advance, so no waiting in line on site, saving lots of time~🗺️
- There’s free laundry service! After staying 3 days, the owner washed, dried, and neatly folded my clothes, so I didn’t have to carry dirty clothes while traveling~👕

Wuzhen Eryou Homestay is truly a Jiangnan travel gem!
