BROMO TENGGER MOUNT

Mount Bromo tourism is famous for its culture, one of which is the Yadnya Kasada or Kasodo festival which is held once a year, when this festival takes place not a few tourists come just to enjoy the festival, do not be surprised if on that day it is filled with tourists both from within the country and abroad country. The Yadnya Kasada or Kasodo Festival is carried out by giving offerings in the form of slaughtered animals, vegetables and money thrown away in the crater of Mount Bromo as a symbol of gratitude to the Almighty. The history of Mount Bromo began when during the Majapahit Kingdom, at that time there was a massive attack that resulted in people being forced to move from their hometowns until they finally took refuge in 2 places, one on the island of Bali and partly on the slopes of Mount Bromo, this became the forerunner of religion. which is widely embraced in these two places. The name "Tengger" is believed to have come from the legends of Roro Anteng and Joko Seger. "Teng" is the suffix of Roro An-"teng" and "ger" is the suffix of the name of Joko Se-"ger" and Mount Bromo is also recognized as a sacred mountain. Hindus call it by the name of Mount Brahma. While the Javanese call it Mount Bromo.
