The Tottori Sand Dunes are like a vast sandbox.
It's also wonderful to see tourists strutting about on camels!
Although they often have a waterless image,
the Sea of Japan stretches out beyond the dunes.
The Tottori Sand Dunes are designated as part of the San'in Kaigan National Park,
and are said to have some of the largest coastal sand dunes in the world!
Even though the sand is sandy, our footprints left a clear mark.
The Tottori Sand Dunes, Tottori's most famous tourist attraction,
are so extraordinary that people in the distance look like tiny specks,
making for a great place to take lots of photos. 😊
It's about 6.6 km from JR Tottori Station.
It takes about 30 minutes by bus.
There's a bus timetable available at Tottori Station,
so we recommend checking it out before you begin your sightseeing.
Open 24 hours
