Tottori ⛩️ The Sand Museum 🇯🇵Japanese theme✨✨✨

The Sand Museum is a sand sculpture-themed museum located in Tottori City, Tottori Prefecture, Japan.

The museum's annual theme is "Sand World Travel," selecting a region of the world as the main theme for the exhibition. Preparations for the sand sculptures are made at the beginning of the year, and the exhibition runs from spring to the beginning of the following year. After the exhibition, the museum closes to prepare for the next year's exhibits.

The Tottori Sand Museum's 2025 exhibition theme is "Sand World Travel Japan (Traveling Japan with Sand)." The museum features sand sculptures inspired by Japanese landmarks, including Mount Fuji and Himeji Castle, created by sculptors from around the world.

The exhibition runs from April 25, 2025, to January 4, 2026. Located near the Tottori Sand Dunes, it is the world's only indoor museum dedicated solely to sand sculpture.

The museum is divided into floors 1-3, with both indoor and outdoor areas. Strollers, wheelchairs, and other non-stuffed equipment are available, and there's also a barrier-free area, perfect for children.

Each year, the sand sculpture exhibition is curated by renowned Japanese sand sculptor Katsuhiko Chaen, who selects the theme and invites talented artists from around the world to collaborate on the creations. #2025Tottori #JapanTheme #TottoriTravel #SandArtMuseum
