The Wufei Temple, a first-class historical site, tells a tragic story at the end of the Ming Dynasty and the beginning of the Qing Dynasty. In short, the Ming Ningjing Prince, who had fled to Taiwan at that time, knew that the situation was hopeless, and asked his five concubines to escape on their own. Unexpectedly, the five concubines were so chaste that they decided to die together for their country. Only the green tomb remains facing the sunset.
The place where she was buried after her death is today's Wufei Temple.
Also executed were two eunuchs who served as attendants. Later generations believed that the two kings were loyal and righteous, and worshipped them together.
The park currently covers a vast area with towering trees. It was originally a very desolate place. The ancient tragedy did unexpectedly leave a rare garden for future generations.
