🛳️Daytime: Take a leisurely walk around Lake Toya

When arriving at Lake Toya, the first feeling is - super vast + super healing.
The lake is huge and calm, surrounded by mountains. It is really comfortable to walk by the lake. This time I walked in the Toyako Onsen area, where there are several scenic spots that you can easily walk to:

1. Strolling around Lake Toya Hot Spring Town

There is a whole row of hot spring hotels and coffee shops by the lake, as well as some cute little statues scattered along the lakeside. It is very pleasant to take pictures while walking.
Walking along the lake, you will also see small shrines such as "Ukimido", which is also suitable for taking literary photos.

2. Ukimido (small shrine)

A small shrine standing by the lake, very small but full of atmosphere. The background of the photo is the entire lake, the picture is super beautiful!

3. Footbath Experience

There are several free foot baths by the lake. You can soak your feet when you are tired. It is really enjoyable.
While soaking my feet and watching the lake surface shimmering slightly, I completely turned on the empty space mode.

🎆Highlight of the night: Lake Toya Fireworks Festival
From the end of April to the end of October, fireworks will be set off on the lake at 8:30 every night! (Almost every day)
And the fireworks are not concentrated in one place. The fireworks boat will move slowly on the lake, setting off fireworks all the way along the hot spring street, so no matter which hotel you stay in, you can probably see it!

My suggestions are:
• If you stay in a lake view room, you can watch the lake directly from the balcony. It's super chill~
• If you stay in a regular room, it is recommended to go out around 8:20, walk to the lakeside and find a comfortable place to sit and wait.

I stayed at a hot spring hotel by the lake that day, and went for a walk by the lake at around 8 o'clock. The weather was just right, and the entire lake was reflecting the light of the fireworks, which was super beautiful. There were also small boats sailing slowly by, and the whole scene was like an animation.

The fireworks didn’t last too long, only about 20 minutes, but because the lake was so wide, the effect was very dreamy.
