🌨️ Tatami Comfort & Snowy Charm – A Cozy Stay at Toya Kohantei Hotel

Our stay at Toya Kohantei Hotel was everything we hoped for—a relaxing blend of traditional Japanese comfort and stunning winter scenery. The tatami room was just right for unwinding, and we appreciated the peaceful, minimalist feel. The lobby was spacious and welcoming, with large windows offering a calm view of Lake Toya.

Dinner at the in-house restaurant was a treat. The highlight? The Hokkaido beef—incredibly tender and flavorful. It really elevated the whole dining experience. The rest of the buffet was good too, but the beef alone made it memorable.

The hotel’s garden looked magical in the snow, like something out of a postcard. And if you’re lucky enough to catch falling snow while soaking in the onsen, it’s a scene you won’t forget.

Parking was easy, located just opposite the hotel across the street, which made check-in and moving luggage super convenient.

A lovely place to slow down and soak in the natural beauty of Lake Toya—especially in winter.
