Sairo Observation Deck

On a good day, the Sairo Observation Deck offers a panoramic view of Lake Toya, Nakajima, Mount Usu, Mount Showa-Shinzan, the Toyako Onsen district, Nishiyama Crater, Mount Yotei, Tsujiribetsu-dake, the Niseko Mountains, and Mount Konbu. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't favorable on my visit, with early morning rain and heavy clouds. I could only take photos with the observatory sign and browse the souvenir shop.

The souvenir shop sells a variety of Hokkaido specialties, including face masks and horse oil. The most popular item is the Toyako pudding made with Date City milk. It keeps for several months at room temperature and is perfect for taking home. ———
