A famous literary museum in downtown Toyama that celebrates the outstanding achievements of the Toyama Prefectural Cultural Association. For example, the famous 8th-century poet Otomo no Yamochi wrote 223 poems about Toyama, and the world-famous cartoonist Fujiko F. Fujio for his "Doraemon" series.

The permanent exhibition introduces Toyama literature from the Manyo period to the present through manuscripts of related writers and digital scrolls depicting the life of Otomo no Yamochi.

You can experience and learn about Toyama's "local literature" through walls filled with related books, performance equipment that presents the beauty of Toyama and tanka, and digital picture books that show the creation process of comics and animations.

Take the city tram from Toyama Station and get off at Kenchomae on the Daigaku-mae bus, and walk for 5 minutes to arrive.
