A hidden hot spring utopia in Japan! My first experience at Nishimuraya Honkan

As a travel expert, I have always had high expectations for Japanese hot spring hotels. This time, I came to Kinosaki and stayed at Nishimuraya Honkan, and I was immediately impressed!

As soon as I arrived at the hotel, the quaint wooden architecture immediately caught my eye. It blends perfectly with the surrounding natural scenery, like a vivid ink painting. As I stepped into the courtyard, I was greeted by the exquisite Japanese garden, with winding paths, lush greenery, and koi fish occasionally poking their heads out of the pond, creating ripples. The stone lanterns stood quietly, exuding a sense of Zen, making me feel purified both physically and mentally.

Entering the room, the Japanese-style decor was warm and comfortable. The tatami was soft, the bedding was neatly arranged, and the wooden furniture emitted a faint woody fragrance. The paper sliding doors let in soft light, creating a tranquil atmosphere. The small tea table by the window was elegantly set with tea utensils. I brewed a cup of hot tea and nestled by the window, enjoying the view of the courtyard, feeling so relaxed that I didn't want to move.

The hot springs are definitely the highlight of this hotel! The hot spring water is crystal clear and rich in minerals, leaving my skin smooth and silky after soaking. The indoor hot springs are spacious and bright, with complete facilities, allowing me to relax without any pressure. The outdoor hot springs are even more amazing, hidden among lush greenery, offering excellent privacy. Soaking in the steaming hot spring, listening to the birds singing, and feeling the gentle breeze on my face, it felt like a close embrace with nature, and all my fatigue and worries were left far behind.

The culinary experience was also fantastic! The kaiseki dinner was a work of art, with beautifully presented dishes and incredibly fresh ingredients. The sashimi was sliced to perfection, melting in my mouth, and the wagyu beef was cooked to perfection, tender and juicy, satisfying with every bite. The Japanese breakfast set was rich and delicious, with fragrant miso soup, soft and sticky rice, and refreshing side dishes, giving me the energy to start a new day.

The hotel service was also very attentive. The staff were enthusiastic and professional, providing detailed explanations during check-in and being available whenever needed during my stay. Once, I asked about fun places nearby, and they not only gave me detailed introductions but also helped me plan routes and recommended hidden gem attractions, making my trip even more exciting.

My stay at Nishimuraya Honkan in Kinosaki Onsen made me fall deeply in love with this place. It perfectly combines traditional Japanese style with modern comfort, with impeccable hot springs, food, and service. If you also want to experience an authentic Japanese hot spring inn and feel the traditional Japanese culture, don't miss this place!
